What's up fam! Yes I did get that package and it came just in time for our Stake Conference and I got a lot of compliments with them! But it was so good to hear more about the NY trip and to hear how happy Eden was! I am looking forward to playing in the 2018 MO. Me and dad are gonna take it! Missions are great - they are not easy but I have been learning so much about the Gospel and myself! But this has been a pretty much the same kind of week. Monday we went and taught that family again and the boy Owen's age hasn't really been coming to church but he loves being there when he gets there. So I told the family about what dad did with Sheldon and how he would bribe him with hot wheels cars to get him to come.  So I did the same and told him that I would get him a King Size of his favorite candy and bring it if he would come! But after that it was really slow and a lot of people that we wanted to go by didn't really want us to come by - LOL! But it has been fun. I can't wait to see everything that is going on with the holidays and family parties!
Freaking love you guys and miss you!

Holy Crap one whole transfer done! I have found out that I am staying in Rosedale and with Elder Watkins for another 6 weeks! Its been great we did get to teach that family again. We got to teach in a really cool way. A kid has come home from his mission because he broke his leg playing soccer. So he is back for 2 months. The best part is that we get to use him for the whole time! So back to teaching the Ayers. We taught them the Restoration with Jenga and that was really cool with the kids!
It sounds like the family is doing great and having a blast! I am so thankful for you guys and miss you! See you in a short 22 months!

This week has been pretty cool - we got to teach a less active family. Both of the parents have been baptized and the two kids are Eden's and Owen's age and have not been baptized yet - so we are trying to work with them the best that we can! But as for the rest of the week it has been pretty slow. Elder Watkins is not feeling too hot right now but it has been good! I love hearing from you and can't wait to send home the next batch of photos - they are pretty great! But I love you all so much and miss you!

That is crazy that River got his mission call so fast and I can't wait to hear his feelings as it comes closer to his time! That is awesome that Dad got his calling at the temple and I love how close the ward is! Have they split it yet or is it still massive?
This week has been really slow. We went to see a bunch of people that we set appointments with but they all flaked on us! On Thursday we had our first Zone Conference! Elder Cook came to talk to us about the importance of the Atonement. It was great to see and learn from him and President Layton. I love President Layton and how he is running and teaching things here. From what I have heard he is here in prefect timing!
I will keep you guys in my prayers. I love you all so much! I can't wait to hear back!

Hey Everyone! The package was great! I loved to jump ropes and one of the stance socks were like Odigs size so I gave it to a Sister and she loved them! But this week has been crazy on how the Spirit leads you in everything you do and say on your mission and in life! But also the ward mission leader here is really good friends with Paul Dickson and Nick Hansen and it was way cool when we put that together! But the Rosedale area is really and and really slow with work and so it is a lot of working with members to find people to teach. So to help us with that we have been sharing the page 1 of Preach my Gospel! But I am loving my mission so far and just think only 22 more months before I can come home and party! but hey I have learned that here there are two types of cars here in Cali 1 is really big trucks and the others are really, really low sportscars. I love you guys and cant wait to hear your thoughts on General Conference! Love you and miss you - see you in a quick 2!

Oh my gosh I know its crazy its been a whole month! Only 23 left! But thanks for all the love and support and all the goodies as well! This week has been crazy. We got to go on splits with the Zone Leaders and I was stoked because my area is pretty well off and looks like our old house, but the Zone Leaders have the hood so I was ready and wanted to teach nicer but scarier people! So I told the Zone Leader to take me to the most run down part of his mission and so he did and I got to meet the sweetest people! So we were just walking around and were passing this house and this old black dude. He was just cranking jazz music and he was just sitting on one of those white plastic chairs that you can get at Walmart and he was about 6 beers into a 12 pack around 12:00. So he stopped us and told us to come on over and I was stoked because I didn't know what to expect! But he called us over and was saying that he has heard of us Mormons and has been watching the Mormons all around town and went on to say that he doesn't believe in God but he loves our standards and how we carry ourselves! So that just made me think that we might think we are alone and we might think that no one is watching us and that we can do whatever we want but what I came to realize from a drunk 80 year old man is that we can't take for granted the way the church has raised us. The standards that we have might be hard sometimes but when we do follow them we not only bless our own lives but we bless others though our example. So me being brand new - and just had my mind blown - I said to him so have you heard the word of wisdom? Then he got mad and told us to scram! But yeah so that's the best part of the week.

The more I learn from missionaries and the stories that I hear - I just learn more and more about how big of a stud Pres. Layton is and all the missionary work he is doing out here. He will go on splits with missionaries and just go knock doors all day!

General Conference was a whole different experience. We got to watch it in the stake center and all of the missionaries from two different zones were there and it was just a blast! I really like Elder Cook's talk about how we need to find something that brings us back up from hard times in our life and can turn our thoughts and actions back to Christ and this gospel!  I love you guys so much and love all of the pictures that you are sending! and tell Odog and Eden that I love them and can't wait to hear more crazy stories! Can't wait to see how this next week is going to go!
